Dear Diary

Today someone broke into my house.
Today I collected a burglar’s footprint and will now look at all Nike wearers as though they are burglars.
Today I thought it would be fun to be a set photographer for a film. I wonder how that works.
Today I ate five cookies, two rice crispy treats, a banana, a hummus gyro, two handfulls of pretzels, and three mini bell peppers dipped in bell pepper hummus.
Today I woke up at 5:30am and listened to the birds for an hour before I had to really wake up.
Today I cut to the front of the class registration line because I was the most prepared and therefore the most qualified to be first.
Today I once again felt self-conscious about using the bathroom so often at work (but when you drink over a gallon of water a day and you work in an air conditioned building, it is pretty necessary).
Today I remembered that I really like Tucson.

I am very sorry that someone broke into your house. I don’t wear Nikes. I sent you an art museum book. I hope you like it. You are a wonderful niece too!
