The city pool opened to the public yesterday. Because I’m an old guard, I had to follow around a new guard and make sure they were doing everything correctly.

For lunch, one of the guards brought in a whole bag of fortune cookies. Mine said:

Boxcar Racer - There Is

The movie is about a cruise liner that is overturned by a rogue wave on New Year’s Eve. It has pretty good special effects (lots of exploding, blasts of fire, great ocean waves), but that’s about all that is good about the movie.

The story line is this: A group of people try to get out of the sinking ship.

The relationships are underdeveloped, and because the group of people trying to escape is fairly large, I didn’t really get attatched to the characters. I spent more time trying to figure out who was who and who was related to who. Some girl dies? Oh well. Why was she important? She wasn’t.

The Bottom Line: rent Poseidon when it comes out on dvd, but don’t go see it at the theatre.

There are so many hues of blues. I’m having a hard time decideing between Caribbean Coast, Costa Rica Blue, Mediterranean Blue, Jamaican Sea, Delft China, and Cancun Blue. Also, Ocean Blue and Blue Ocean are confusing me.
