Heh, good work. Also, I really like how vivid the colors are in your pictures.
NIIIICE! Our football games aren’t nearly as cool… :(
Some great shots there Alisa!
I too am quite interested in sports photography, however, I have to pre organise my visits to local ’soccer’ (as you may say ;-) ) grounds to get in as a photographer… I am unable to go to my local ’soccer’ team’s ground because it is in such a high profile league and if I was to whip out my Camera I would get chucked out of the stadium from what I gather. I still go as a spectator though :-) .
You’ve got very close to the action, though, you’ve done a great job! You’ve also been quite lucky in that the lighting at the stadium is very good. If only the lighting was like that at some of the local soccer grounds… (Keeps on dreaming).
Wow. Great job on both counts - getting in and taking photos.
Thank you for the compliments everyone!
Aidan: I know what you mean about getting cameras into pro-sports events. People aren’t very friendly… I don’t know why because it’s the little snapshot takers that cause the most damage (flashes… SLR users don’t normally use the flash). One time I did sneak my DSLR into a higher profile event, but that was because security was set up in such a bad way. If they caught you with something “bad” then you had to go through the gates into the stadium and exit through another door. I went through the gates but never exited.
I think since this was college football, cameras were more excusable.
